I’m Tito. I’ve been through dialysis, eight surgeries, and two kidney transplants. I’m also a wine judge, a transplant advocate, and someone who refuses to give up.
For two years, I spent three days a week connected to a dialysis machine. I know what it feels like to wake up exhausted, ration water to 32 ounces a day, and watch other patients fade away. I also know what it feels like to get a second chance — and to lose it.
In January 2023, I received a living donor transplant. For six weeks, I had my energy back. Then the kidney failed, and I went back to dialysis. Later that year, I got a second transplant. This one is still working.
I built this site to share what I’ve learned and to reach others who are going through the same thing. If you’re navigating kidney disease, dialysis, or transplant, I want you to know you’re not alone. If you're healthy and curious about living donation, I hope you’ll learn something new here.
